In windows 10 you can change desktop icon size very easily. Some of the tab users like medium desktop icon size and some people like small desktop icon size. I also use small desktop icons on my laptop.
How to Change desktop icons in windows 10:
In below picture, sizes of icons are shown in windows 10 like small medium and large you can use any size that you like.
Step by Step Guide:
- Right click on desktop anywhere.
- Now click on View.
- As shown in below picture select small, medium and large.
You can use icon size which looks good like if you are using 1366 by 768 pixel display then large icons will look very and small will be very small (i use small) so use medium icon size that would be better.
Note: When you change icon sizes this will only apply to icons and other icons would be same like taskbar icon and icons in your folder. If you want to make changes in taskbar icons read below steps.
How to change icons size in folder, files, and my computer:
If you want to change icon size in folders like you can change the icon sizes in a folder in which you have files and folders and also when you open my computer you can also change sizes and shapes of icons.

- Right click on the empty side on My computer.
- Click on View.
- Now click on any which type of icon you like: Extra large icons, Large icons, Medium icons, Small icons, List, Details, Tiles and contents as shown in below picture.
Note: File explorer and in folder you can also change icons with this method. But in folder you can also change icons with a very simple method.
- At the bottom of the folder look little icons like in below picture and click on that to change icon size .
How to change taskbar icons:
Change taskbar icon or changing in taskbar icon is a little different that will also change your text size, apps, and other items in windows 10.

- On empty space of desktop press right click.
- Now click on Display Settings.
- As in below picture Move the slider underwritten "Change the size of text, apps, and other items: 100% (Recommended).
- You can change it 100% to 175% as per your laptop specification.
- After changing apply settings and enjoy your taskbar new look.
